About Me

Experience Built the Hard Way

I've never believed there was a shortcut to learning.

Like many people, my path wasn't a straight line. After high school, I postponed college for a few years to pursue something I loved—playing music professionally. Those years taught me discipline, teamwork, preparation, and the confidence to perform under pressure. When my career eventually moved into engineering and quality management, those lessons came with me.

When it came time to build a long-term career, I took a less traditional path. I earned both my Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering and my Bachelor's Degree in Technical Administration while working full-time and supporting a young family. It wasn't always easy, but it taught me the value of persistence, personal responsibility, and continuous learning.

Those same principles have guided my professional career ever since.

A Career Focused on Improvement

For more than 30 years, I've worked in quality management, helping organizations understand problems, improve processes, manage risk, and build systems that work in the real world.

My career has taken me through manufacturing, aerospace, medical devices, engineering services, and consulting. Across those industries, the work has reinforced a lesson that reaches far beyond quality management: lasting improvement rarely comes from a single big change. It comes from understanding where you are, asking better questions, and making thoughtful improvements over time.

That's much of the thinking I bring to Thrive Next Life.

My Philosophy

Good systems aren't created by paperwork. They're created by understanding how people actually live and work.

I've spent much of my career listening, asking questions, looking for root causes, and finding practical ways to make things better. The goal was never simply to find what was wrong. It was to understand what was happening and determine what could be improved.

I think much the same way about life.

Health, learning, finances, relationships, and purpose don't exist in isolation. They influence one another. And meaningful change usually doesn't require rebuilding everything at once. It starts with understanding where you are and deciding what deserves your attention next.

Beyond Quality

My interests have never stopped with my professional career. I've remained curious about technology, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, lifelong learning, and the possibilities that come with starting something new.

I still make music. I experiment with new technology. I build digital businesses and communities. And I continue learning simply because there is always something I don't know yet.

That curiosity is a big part of why Thrive Next Life exists.

I don't believe growth has an expiration date. Experience gives us something to build from, but curiosity keeps us moving forward.

How This Shapes Thrive Next Life

Thrive Next Life grew from a simple idea: the next chapter of life deserves the same thought and attention we've given everything that came before it.

That's why the site is organized around four connected areas — Health, Mind, Income, and Lifestyle. They aren't separate parts of life. Better health can create more freedom. Continued learning can open new opportunities. Financial resilience can create choices. Strong relationships and meaningful experiences can make those choices worthwhile.

I don't pretend to have all the answers. I'm not a doctor, financial advisor, nutritionist, or retirement professional, and the information on Thrive Next Life isn't a substitute for professional advice. My role is to research carefully, ask useful questions, share what I learn in plain language, and create a place where other people can contribute what they're learning too.

Thrive Next Life isn't about telling you what your next chapter should look like. It's about giving you ideas, resources, and a community that can help you build it.
